20th Birthday at Via
The club marked twenty years.
Knutsford54 – 0Spartans 1XV
A tough opening day against a physical, well organised side who deserved the win. Every one of the nineteen in the squad played at least a half, and the Spartans created chances they could not quite finish.
Sefton 2XV60 – 19Spartans 1XV
Tough day for our 1XV away at Sefton. After a closely fought 1st half, our boys seemed to go to sleep in the 2nd.

Glossop 3XV5 – 71Spartans 1XV
A great game played in good spirit. The side stuck to the plan and made big tackles up front, keeping Glossop to a single try. Six different players crossed, one of them for his first First XV try.
